Tonight marks where the head coaches for the All Star Game in Montreal on the 25 of January are chosen and before tonights games are even played, your Boston Bruin head coach, Claude Julien will be coaching the Eastern Conference squad while Todd McLellan, head coach of the San Jose Sharks will be the head coach of the Western Conference All Stars. Detroit’s Mike Babcock will be the assistant coach of the West while tonights’ games will determine who will assist Julien behind the bench for the East. It will either be the Washington Capitals Bruce Boudreau or Montreal Canadiens Guy Carbonneau and interestingly enough, the Caps are in Montreal tonight to face the Canadiens and the winning coach will be behind the bench on All Star night.
Making their way to Montreal on All Star weekend from the B’s will be Captain Zdeno Chara, Marc Savard and Tim Thomas. Also there will be Blake Wheeler and Milan Lucic to play in the youngstars game
