The Bruins dug themselves an early hole and guess what? They fought their way out of it. In a three minute span, late in the first period Boston allowed a Power Play goal, a shorthanded goal and an even strength goal and unfortunately, Diehard was thinking that it was gonna be another of those thousands of games that I’ve witnessed both in person and on TV in the Montreal Forum and Bell Centre. But a strange thing happened on the way to the end of the game. The Bruins outplayed the Canadiens through the rest of the game. David Krecji scored on the power play in the second period and Marc Savard scored twice in the third with the second one coming with 46 seconds left in the game sending it into overtime.
