3rd Period

Well in the words of their coach, “they did get a little cute” after they got the lead. The Lightning did get two late third period goals to put just a scare into them before PJ Axelsson salted the victory away with his first goal of the year into an open net. But the bottom line is they took control early and treated the 16,973 fans to a sound beating of Tampa Bay at home 5-3. The “Cuteness” is what cannot be allowed to seep in as if it does, we all know that this current run can turn on them and go the other way. Right now, everyone is contributing and things are rolling for your Boston Bruins and that’s really all that counts. Wednesday, a big test as they make their way to the Nation’s Capital to take on The Great 8….Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals! First Place and four points ahead of the New York Rangers n the Eastern Conference. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
