Minnesota Wild vs. Bruins

The Bruins look to start a couple of new streaks tonight against the Minnesota Wild. Both winning and home winning streaks were broken on Saturday with the 4-2 against the division rival Buffalo. Minnesota is the only club the NHL in which the Bruins have not beaten on home ice. They have just one win in seven overall contests including one loss earlier this year in Minnesota. One force they will not have to reckon with is Marion Gabourik who supposedly had surgery on his hip today. Today’s game is the 3rd in their current six-game homestand winning one and losing one. Aaron Ward is once again out of the lineup with a charley horse. Petteri Nokalainen is back in the lineup. Still out is Marco Sturm and Andrew Ference. Manny Fernandez gets the start in goal against Niklas Backstrom. -Diehard
