Fred Cusick Night

No one will ever forget that voice and his yell of “Score Bobby Orr”. I grew up with it and loved everything about Fred Cusick. If you were a fan in the 70’s and remember trying to see the puck through all the snow because you probably had those rabbit ears there was frustration but NEVER did you have a better time than Fred yelling score. John Pierson would be along side and all was right with the hockey world.
Saturday, the Boston Bruins will honor the man who truly was the voice of Boston hockey as they dedicate the TV booth on the ninth floor of the TD Garden the “Fred Cusick Broadcast Booth” and also will put a microphone on the façade like they Celtics did for their legendary announcer Johnny Most.
Great job by the Bruins.
Now shouldn’t they remember the GREAT Bob Wilson who did many years of superb broadcasting of Bruins hockey on radio? Especially since he is still with us! That would be a great tribute as well and maybe Bob could be down on the ice accepting the tribute and just hearing that great voice again would be really great!
